Welcome to Leeds Zumbathon

Online registration is closed for the Zumbathon but please feel free to turn up and pay on the day. You must register before the start of the Zumbathon at 9.30am on Sunday and the event kicks off at 10am. Please bring water.

Don’t forget to create an online sponsorship page via www.virginmoneygiving.com as this is by far the best way to raise money. You can email the link to everyone you know and it means you don’t have to chase your sponsorship after the event, the money comes directly to our bank – easy peasy.

It’s the hottest fitness craze on the scene at the moment and loads of people want us to put on a sponsored Zumbathon. So not only could you be taking part in a fun and exhilarating Zumba session – it will be for 3 hours and it will be sponsored!!

Don’t panic though, as the work outs are interval (slow then fast) there will be lots of chances to get your breath back and ready for the next section. We will make sure you can all keep up! You don’t need to be able to dance to do Zumba, you can be a complete beginner in dance and in fitness – perfect for those who don’t exercise and want to get involved. We are really excited about this and hopefully we will be able to get it filmed and send it off to Zumba for them to put on their website!

The Zumbathon will be held at The Grammar School at Leeds in Alwoodley in their main sports hall. It’s a huge venue and will accommodate 600 of us to all participate at Zumba at once, with enough space in-between each person.

The event is open to both male and female participants so please, if you feel like getting mega fit, shifting some stubborn pounds then sign up today and be part of a Zumba Sensation! Burn up top 2,400 calories in this Zumbathon session – that’s enough to burn off 22 Kit Kats or 9 medium portions of McDonalds fries!!

This is a sponsored only event so by signing up you are committing to raising funds towards the vital care we offer our patients. We provide all our services free of charge and it costs us over £22,000 per day to run so sponsorship is a vital part of our fundraising and ensures we can continue serving the community for years to come. So not only will you feel good on the outside, you will feel good on the inside for helping such a worthwhile, local charity.

So make sure you don’t miss out on what promises to be a Sunday to remember and join this unique event.
